Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Law Clerk to join our team. In this role will support a sole practitioner with a robust practice in probate law, trust administration, guardianship and conservatorship, will contests, trust litigation, and estate planning. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with a knack for problem-solving, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to quickly adapt to new legal matters. This position is hourly, with the expectation of overtime.
Responsibilities - Looking for individuals qualified to fufill the following role

Prepare and file legal papers and correspondence, such as probate petitions and cover letters

Efile court pleadings
-
Communicate effectively with clients via phone, email and mail to gather and provide necessary information

Assists the attorney in information collection and case matter preparation
-
Organizes and maintain clients' files with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality
-
Efficiently scan, photocopy, and manage large volumes of documentation
-
Send documents out for e-signature via Adobe and DocuSign
-
Drafts memos and other legal documents as required to assist attorney
-
Assemble and organize client files on various case matters
-
Support special projects
-
Assists in preparing statements and declarations
-
Maintain and update legal documentation and records
-
Manage discovery requests and responses
-
Contribute to drafting estate plans and other legal instruments such as deeds

Minimum Qualifications
-
Strong familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and the court system
-
Excellent Critical Thinking and judgment skills
-
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
-
Proficient typing skills (40-60 WPM)
-
Highly organized with robust documentation management experience
-
Comfortable and professional in client communications
-
Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience with Adobe and sending out e-signatures
-
Ability to multitask and perform effectively under high pressure and handle high stress and dynamic environments well

Minimum Qualifications

1+ years of law firm experience or College Degree from an accredited university (REQUIRED)
